01 · Why we started
We kept asking the same question: got crowd or not?
After work, basketball is how we unwind with friends. Sometimes we want a game; sometimes we just want to practise alone. Packed or empty, we used to find out only after reaching the court.
Crowd is only one part of the real question: can we use this space now? Rain, shelter, events, lighting, and surface condition all matter too. Today that knowledge lives across chats, memory, and whoever happens to be there.

Privacy boundary
No cameras, identities, or exact people counts.
The public status uses aggregate numeric sound features. A separate authenticated shadow pilot privately reviews bounded audio snapshots with Gemini to distinguish basketball from other activity. Those clips never appear in public court data and are available only for authenticated review.
